Munir breaks incredible Getafe scoring streak | OneFootball

On 18 October 2022, Carles Aleñá and Munir El Haddadi each scored in Getafe’s 2-2 draw at home to Athletic Club. The following game, a 1-1 against Celta Vigo, saw the beginning of an almost unbelievable streak: for 15 straight matches, only two players scored all of Getafe’s league goals.

Borja Mayoral and Enes Ünal were the sole two names on the scoresheet for five months and one day, from 18 October until last Sunday, 19 March.

Munir scored the opener against Sevilla to end the streak. During that time period, Getafe netted 15 goals, of which 10 came from Enes Ünal, and the other five from Borja Mayoral.

Quique Sánchez Flores’ side currently sit 13th in the table, with a total of 27 goals scored this season. The period of Ünal-Mayoral dominance saw four wins, five draws, and six defeats. After the international break, they will face Athletic Club.
