Girona star Miguel Gutiérrez is in demand ahead of the summer transfer window, and AC Milan are one of the interested clubs.
According to Mundo Deportivo, one of Atlético Madrid’s priorities for next season is to sign a left-back. Although Javi Galán has not disappointed, they want a young and promising addition and there are two names high on their list: Álvaro Carreras and Miguel Gutiérrez.
Carreras is excelling with Benfica and is just 22 years of age. He was a protagonist against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League group stage, and the Galician full-back has attracted the interest of several top European clubs.
His market value is around €28m, but Benfica – who bought him for €6m last summer – might only let him go for a figure close to his €50m clause. In addition to Real Madrid, who are keeping a close eye on their former youth player, several Italian teams are also monitoring the situation.

Miguel Gutiérrez at Girona seems more affordable. He was also in the Real Madrid youth system, and made his debut with Los Blancos before moving to Catalonia in 2022 for €4m. His release clause is €35m, but Girona could let him go for around €20m.
However, Juventus and Milan have ‘already made approaches’, with the Rossoneri having been linked months ago too. Gutiérrez has a contract until 2027, but Real retains a buy-back clause of €8m and 50% on the future resale, making the negotiation delicate, especially for Atletico.
