Mike Trésor could be on the move again after a disappointing campaign in the Premier League with Burnley. The 25-year-old attacker made the move from Genk to England’s top-flight last summer for around €18m, but after featuring just 16 times for the Clarets his future is now uncertain.
According to HLN, unnamed clubs in the Netherlands, France and Spain have registered an interest in Trésor and it’s highly likely that he’ll leave Burnley on loan this summer. It’s no surprise that clubs are so keen on his signature as the two-time Belgium international won the 23/24 Player of the Year award in the Belgian Pro League following an incredible campaign. Trésor registered 25 assists in a single season for Genk whilst also netting nine times.
Fellow Belgian Vincent Kompany brough Mike Trésor to England, but unfortunately the move didn’t work out. A loan move away from Turf Moor and a potentially successful season in the Championship for Burnley could lead to a Premier League return for the player. Firstly, he’ll have to rekindle that fantastic form from his Genk days.
