A number of CSKA Moscow supporters have been injured after an escalator malfunctioned in one of Rome’s central stations.

The Russian club are in the Italian capital for Tuesday evening’s Champions League clash between CSKA and Roma.

Footage shared on social media showed an escalator violently speeding up, causing a crush at the bottom.

Early reports suggest a number of the supporters involved have been left injured, but the incident is unlikely to affect the kick-off time of the match at the Stadio Olimpico.
