David Moyes questions the hectic schedule Manchester United have been given

According to Daily Mail, David Moyes has questioned the decision to force Manchester United into playing two sides who are in the top four race with West Ham. The West Ham manager feels that his former side could hold the key to his current side’s Champions League qualification.

One down, two to go. Manchester United are having to double down this week with three games lined up in the space of five days. A direct cause for this was the Liverpool game, which was rescheduled due to protests.

However, United were dealt a blow with the game being rescheduled to within 48 hours of their game against Leicester.

While United may have sealed Champions League qualification with the win over Aston Villa, their next two games will have repercussions for other teams. Two spots remain open for qualification and six teams are still in contention mathematically.

With United playing so many games in such a short time, Solskjaer said that he will be playing a weaker side against either Leicester or Liverpool. The Leicester game looks the most likely for him to do so given the historic rivalry with Liverpool.

The problem is that a lot of United’s results in those two games will affect sides like West Ham, who are still hopeful of securing a top-four place.

Defeat for United in one or both games will help the likes of Leicester and Liverpool, and would leave West Ham in the dust. A win or two would in turn boost West Ham’s chances of sneaking in. David Moyes had his say on the same.
