Saturday's draw was mired in controversy after VAR reversed a spot kick initially awarded for a foul on Ashley Young despite Matthijs de Ligt pulling his shirt back.

The decision by the VAR has been heavily criticised and Moyes revealed on Tuesday that the club is in dialogue with the refereeing body on the incident.

"The club and the PGMOL have been in touch and they're speaking," said the Everton manager

"I don't think there's any further more to say at the moment. I don't think that changes in time but look, it's four days ago so a short time to hear something.

"I think most people are pretty much aware it looked like a penalty kick, the referee gave it and I don't quite understand why that went to VAR."

Everton expect to have Jesper Lindstrøm and Tim Iroegbunam both available for their trip to Brentford after shaking off flu issues during the stalemate with United.

Moyes added: "He had a bit of fever or flu-like symptoms, which I knew about. He was struggling a bit.

"Tim had it as well so a couple of the boys in the camp had a little bit of it but they're fine.

"Nathan Patterson has been back training but [Wednesday] is probably going to be too quick for him."

Everton have opened up a 14-point gap to the Premier League's relegation zone with Moyes presiding over a six-match unbeaten run since his return last month.
