Speaking to media following Belgian 1st division side Royal Excel Mouscron’s 6-2 loss to Westerlo, French striker Teddy Chevalier tore into the club and Bordeaux’s owner Gérard Lopez.
“It is difficult tonight, it hurts. But we faced a champion team. They rolled us over. But you know, when we are shunned like beasts, without salary, it is difficult. Everyday, we come, we give ourselves. Without knowing what is going to happen… I am not scared of words. Feel free to break my contract tomorrow. But Gérard Lopez is a coward… All the work we’ve done is wasted by a person who thinks he’s God… We haven’t heard anything… But if a new buyer arrives, I’m ready to stay, like a big part of the team.”
Sudinfo report that Mouscron is now expected to loss its professional licence.
