Jose Mourinho was asked about his relationship with the players as Roma have only 5 points to show for their start to the season.

The Special One’s rapport in the dressing room was recently questioned due to the poor results on the pitch and the clear lack of defensive stability and organization.

During Saturday’s press conference ahead of the match with Frosinone, Mourinho specifically addressed the final question which related to his relationship with the players.

“When you lose, the manager becomes the loneliest human being. I do it by choice. I want to be alone in these situations,” Mourinho told reporters. “In the last two days I’ve gone to sleep at 6 am.”

“I had a meeting yesterday with the players and I started saying that I would ask questions and answer each question from their perspective,” he added. “In a way, I disguised myself as one of them and responded like one of them. I told them that if I were to make a mistake in my answers, you as a footballer have to interrupt me. I asked ten questions, gave myself ten answers and no one ever told me I was wrong, I answered as they would have wanted me to. I know these boys very well.”
