Former Roma manager Jose Mourinho recalled the hardships faced in the Italian capital during this three-year tenure.
In a back-and-forth with Man City coach and historical rival Pep Guardiola, Mourinho spoke about the English club’s transfer dealings.
“Pep and I worked together for three years, I was an assistant and he was a player, I like him a lot, he knows that, he likes me and he knows that there are no problems between us,” he added.
“Our words are one thing, our feelings are another.”
“It is not true that I want Manchester City to be relegated, but it is true that I want justice.”
He continued, “Many times small clubs are punished for 5 or 10 euros over the budget and the FFP rules. I suffered three years at Roma because of the limitations.”
“I do not think it is right that these big financial sharks always manage to find a way to escape the rules. I am just a football man, I love football. I like justice in football.”
