Tottenham manager José Mourinho spoke to the press on Friday ahead of their FA Cup fourth round clash against Wycombe.
Injury news, Dele Alli and transfer rumours surrounding Danny Ings were all on the agenda.
Here’s what he had to say …
“Giovani Lo Celso will be a couple more weeks. We have two or three players who have small injuries.
“Matt Doherty, who was not involved at Sheffield, Dele Alli, has not been training with small problem in the tendon, and Serge Aurier, not really well.
“We still have three days before the match though.”
“The reason he was not selected for Sheffield United is in relation to the injury.
“It’s an injury that doesn’t allow him to train properly. It’s not one that will keep him out for a long time. Just a small thing.”
“Let’s go bit by bit. We are not a team that needs a third striker because the third striker is Sonny. Of course we have the best.
“We are happy with Carlos. Carlos is not our player, he’s a Benfica player, but he’s a player we’re looking to develop.
“Ings of course I refuse totally to say any word about him because he’s a Southampton player.”
“I’m not even thinking of repercussions in relation to the transfer window, but it was not easy to leave Gazzaniga out, but there was no other option.
“Would be great for Joe Rodon’s development to play in the Europa League.
We’ve played already nine matches in the Europa League and if Joe was available to play these nine matches – he would have for sure have played in three, four, five or six of them.
“Of course we have to help in their development in collaboration with the academy but we have to wait a little bit more.”
“Any team can go to any stadium and get a result. That is a situation that people cannot underestimate.
“The teams considered with less potential are not like that as much anymore. These clubs and professionals deserve the credit.
“I don’t open my mouth anymore with ‘wow, what a crazy result’. There are no more crazy results.”
Tottenham head into the clash at Adams Park having won four of their last five games.
