Jose Mourinho had the opportunity to share his favorite moments and aspects of Roma’s recent trip to Japan during an interview with a fan which was made available online by the club upon their return to the Italian capital.

“It’s only my third time visiting Japan,” admitted the Special One. “The first time with Porto we faced Kashima Antlers, I think it was more or less 1994. Second time I was here for Nakata’s testimonial, that time I visited Tokyo.”

“This is my third time here and I honestly never had the proper time to visit this amazing country. I can’t choose a place, but I can say only good things about the manners of the Japanese people. Here one has the perception that everything is clean and tidy. People have incredible sensitivity in human relationships.”

“The Japanese people are my favorite thing about Japan. Food-wise I could eat Wagyu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I don’t like fish even though I was born in a seaside town, but I prefer meat. Wagyu is amazing, I would always eat it. I also appreciate the way the food is served at the table. Everything is beautiful, it is arranged in a way that makes you fall in love with the dish at first sight.”
