Austria have an impressive squad but when they needed him most, David Alaba provided a moment of quality to spark change.

The 28-year-old was quiet in the first half and looked unsure of his role within the system – especially with Martin Hinteregger occupying similar spaces.

But he was a one-man show in the second half. Alaba looked to be playing in three different positions, bursting forward at every opportunity to try and contribute.

His assist for Michael Gregoritsch was inch perfect and gave Austria the edge as they went on to secure all three points.
