Carlton Morris bemoaned bad luck for Luton despite the Hatters earning their first Premier League point with a 1-1 draw with Wolves.

Morris scored an equaliser from the spot as Rob Edwards’ side earned their first point of the campaign, but the Hatters will feel this was an opportunity missed after Wolves were reduced to ten men in the first half.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde was sent off for Wolves after 39 minutes with the game goalless, though the 10-man visitors took the lead through Pedro Neto.

Morris equalised from the penalty spot for Luton, but believes his team could – and should – have come away with three points.

“It’s a bittersweet one. It’s taken us time to acclimatise to the Premier League. I think that was our best performance. We deserved more from the game,” Morris told the BBC.

“Sometimes things don’t just fall for us. That’s the way the cookie is crumbling at the minute.

“It’s brilliant. The fans keep us going.

“We’re winners in that dressing room, we want to win the games and give these fans more to cheer about. We’ll knuckle down.”
