The first half of Belgium’s clash with Morocco unsurprisingly ended scoreless.
That has been the case for exactly half of the games at this tournament but that was very close to not being the case here.
With the final act of the opening 45 minutes, Hakim Ziyech whipped a free-kick from the wing on goal which Romain Saïss attempted to divert in but failed to make contact.
However, following a VAR check, the goal was ruled out as he was ruled to be in an offside position when he tried to head Ziyech’s delivery home.
And it appeared that, if anything, it was his ear which had played him offside.
They don’t come much closer.
