As winning quarter-finalists at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, both Morocco and Zambia qualified for next year’s World Cup.

Yasmin Mrabet scored the winner for tournament hosts Morocco in the second half of their tie with Botswana, after the sides had exchanged early goals.

Zambia edged Senegal 4-2 on penalties following a 1-1 extra-time draw, with Avell Chitundu having scored their equaliser.

Cameroon face Nigeria and South Africa take on Tunisia in the remaining quarter-final ties on 14 July.

The four beaten sides in the last eight will have another chance at World Cup qualification through the intercontinental play-offs.
