Alex Jimenez moved to AC Milan permanently in the summer, but his chances with the first team have not arrived yet. For this reason, a January move is possible.
Footballers changing agents is not a new thing, especially close to the mercato, and occasionally the choices can be used to gain information about the future of some players, and perhaps, this could be the case with Jimenez, who is ‘considering’ a change of agency, according to Matteo Moretto.
The Spaniard has struggled for first-team exposure this season, despite being named the deputy to Theo Hernandez in the summer. For the Futuro squad though, his minutes have shown him to be above the level of Serie C which creates a challenge.
Paulo Fonseca has not been afraid to offer young players minutes, see the case of Francesco Camarda for example, a player who has struggled in Serie C, yet has been entrusted with Serie A minutes – though, the context is widely different in both situations.
Nevertheless, there have been recent reports suggesting that there is interest in Jimenez ahead of the January mercato, with some La Liga clubs looking to loan him for six months. Elsewhere, Real Madrid are still keeping the youngster on their radar for now with their buy-back option remaining in place for the next two years.
