AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez has plenty of admirers but Milan are still working to renew his current contract before it is too late to stop a move.
As reported by Matteo Moretto on X, the French defender is currently under a contract at Milan that does not expire until the summer of 2026.
He is earning just over €5m per season but would expect a higher salary if he is to commit more of his career to Milan. Milan may want to act fast while he is in such good form.
The issue for the Rossoneri is that there is serious interest in his services from clubs/leagues that have a lot more money to offer players.
Bayern Munich are paying very close attention to the contract situation because they could be set to lose Alphonso Davies, their first-choice left-back, to Real Madrid this summer.
There is also interest from the Premier League, although specific clubs are not mentioned by Moretto. Interestingly, he does mention interest from the Saudi Pro League.
Obviously, huge salaries can be handed out by the wealthy Saudi Arabian clubs, but that would be the only reason for a player of Hernandez’s age and quality to move to a league that, compared to his other options, is seriously lacking quality and prestige.
