Marco Brescianini got his name on the scoresheet for Frosinone against Juventus this afternoon, and AC Milan will have been smiling for more than just one reason.

Brescianini joined Frosinone in the last summer transfer window as his long spell with Milan came to an end, and he netted the goal that put Frosinone ahead against Juve before they ended up losing 3-2.

As Matteo Moretto writes, if Brescianini were to leave Frosinone, Milan would also benefit. The Rossoneri secured a 50% resale clause as part of his departure, meaning they will get half of the amount in the event of a sale. Juventus have been recently linked, too.

Brescianini grew up in Milan’s youth academy having been there since he was 8 years old. After a few years in the Primavera (and his debut in Serie A taking over from Ismael Bennacer on 20 August 2020), loan spells in Serie B followed.

He played for three seasons with the shirts of Virtus Entella, Monza and Cosenza, then last summer Milan made the decision to sell the midfielder permanently to Frosinone in Serie A.

He has already made 28 appearances this season, with 24 in Serie A and four in the Coppa Italia. His numbers are impressive too: three goals scored and an assist, with one of them coming against Milan at San Siro.
