Aston Villa welcomed Legia Warszawa at Villa Park earlier tonight as they focused on securing a good result at home in the UEFA Europa Conference League. The Villans made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the fourth minute when Moussa Diaby found the back of the net. However, Ernest Muci equalised for the visitors in the 20th minute. Unai Emery’s men went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.

Alex Moreno put Aston Villa ahead once again in the 58th minute. The West Midlands club hung on to their slender advantage and earned a hard-fought 2-1 win in front of their home supporters.

LB: Alex Moreno – 8/10

Moreno was solid on the defensive front and managed to score in the second half with a great volley.

RM: Youri Tielemans – 7/10

He began the game well and secured an assist for setting up Diaby’s goal.

CM: Boubacar Kamara – 6/10

Kamara made some errors of judgment but grew stronger as the match progressed.

CM: Douglas Luiz – 8/10

Luiz delivered some inviting crosses into the opponent’s penalty box and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
