It’s painfully obvious by now that basically no one likes the idea of the new European Super League.

We ran a series of polls from the CaughtOffside Twitter page, and thousands of you have responded to paint a very clear picture of how the news has gone down with football fans everywhere.

See below for the results so far, with over 78% of fans making it clear they think the Super League would be a bad idea, with just 11% saying it’s a good idea…

Remarkably, more than half – 54% – of voters stated they’d consider ditching the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and the other clubs involved and supporting new teams instead if the move goes ahead.

And just over 62% backed the idea of these clubs being kicked out of their current domestic leagues and UEFA competitions.

As for the motivations of those involved, it’s unsurprising to see that they’re not fooling anyone, with over 86% of our voters stating they believe club owners are being motivated by greed.

Finally, as many as 42.8% stated that this had made them fall out of love with football, though this was more close-run than some of the other questions.

Surely those at the top cannot ignore how hated this idea is and how much opposition it’s likely to face.
