More than 8,000 handball tickets sold: Attendance record in sight! | OneFootball

Over 8,000 fans will be present when Borussia Dortmund's women's handball team battle with Siofok KC for top spot in their European League group at 14:00 CET on Sunday (19/2). The attendance record is now within touching distance. Be part of the record crowd!

In the fifth round of group-stage matches, the BVB women sealed their progression to the quarter-finals of the European League thanks to a win away to Molde Elite. Now they will take on Siofok KC bidding to secure top spot in the group and put themselves in a good position for the next round. Over 8,000 fans will be supporting the women's handballers at the Westfalenhalle, including BVB legends like Patrick Owomoyela, Wolfgang "Teddy" de Beer and Horst Bertram. Nobby Dickel, Heiko Wasser and handball hall announcer Marc Rüther will guide you through the proceedings.

Before the throw-off in the European League match, the Black & Yellow C-Youth will take to the court and explain the most important handball rules.

Background information: the current national attendance record for women's handball was set in 1997 when 8,700 spectators watched the BVB women's home game against Ljubljana. The aim is now to break that record at the women's handball team's European League game at the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund – with your support! In total, more than 11,000 fans can fit into the Westfalenhalle.
