More and more clues are emerging – Everyone at Inter Milan is desperate to sign Como and Argentina midfielder Nico Paz.
This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They note that Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti was spotted chatting with Paz’s father yesterday.
The young Argentine has been in truly outstanding form this season since joining Como from Real Madrid last summer.
Paz has been a driving force as Como have looked to establish a foothold for themselves in the Serie A midtable.
And Inter see Paz as the ideal player for their future.
The 20-year-old’s instant impact in Serie A has fully convinced the Nerazzurri.
Signing Paz will hardly be straightforward.
Firstly, Como will hardly be keen to deprive themselves of such a key player after just one season.

Moreover, there is the complicated situation with the Argentine’s former club Real Madrid. Los Blancos have both a buyback clause and a sell-on fee on Paz.
However, that is not going to stop Inter from trying.
As Tuttosport note, just yesterday, Nerazzurri Vice-President Javier Zanetti was at Como’s Serie A clash with Venezia.
The Inter executive was not just scouting Paz. He was also spotted chatting with the midfielder’s father at halftime of the 1-1 draw.
There is little doubt that Zanetti is laying the groundwork for a move with a kind of charm offensive. Getting the approval of the player and his entourage could be the key for Inter.
And it is not just Zanetti who wants to sign Paz.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi also sees the 20-year-old as the perfect signing.
Considering Paz’s age and versatility, he could fit perfectly into multiple different roles in Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 shape. The Inter coach sees him as having all the right attributes for his own vision of football.
And then, Inter owners Oaktree Capital would certainly sign off on a move.
Since taking over last May, Oaktree have made their transfer policy clear. They are willing to invest in big signings, but only if they feel that a player has the margins to grow and increase in value.
