More Chelsea links with high profile centre back who could replace Antonio Rudiger | OneFootball

The noise continues to surround Chelsea’s current centre back situation, with alternatives being linked.

Chelsea could lose Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Thiago Silva, and Cesar Azpilicueta as free agents this summer as things stand.

Rudiger looks like the most up in the air out of those names right now, so of course we are seeing plenty of names linked with replacing him this summer.

One big name and probably the most high profile is Juventus centre back Matthijs De Ligt.

The latest source to state Chelsea’s interest in the Dutch defender is La Stampa, as quoted by Get Italian Football News.

De Ligt is obviously the Juventus captain, but the report points towards comments from his agent Mino Raiola over the weekend suggesting his client could soon be leaving the club.

I have no doubts that Chelsea would see De Ligt as a good Rudiger replacement as he comes with a similar mentality and decent experience for his age.
