Monza seal move for ex-Atalanta star Papu Gomez | OneFootball

Serie A side Monza are set to seal a move for former Atalanta star Papu Gomez, who is currently a free agent.

Gomez has been a free agent since his exit from Sevilla and was linked with a host of clubs over the summer. Sky Italia have reported that the Argentine is now set to seal a move to Monza, who impressed in the Serie A last season while surviving relegation.

The midfielder will arrive in Milan tomorrow to undergo a medical with Monza and he will then sign a deal with the club and it is expected to stay at the club till the end of the current campaign.

Monza will be the 35-year-old’s third club in the Serie A after he had stints at La Dea and Catania, with his most famed spell in the Italian top flight coming during his time under Gian Piero Gasperini. At Atalanta, Gomez scored 59 times and racked up 72 assists.
