Monza coach Raffaele Palladino has confirmed that Inter Milan-owned attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni is ready to play against Napoli.

The Brianzoli coach praised the 19-year-old’s work in training and stated that he can play in this evening’s Serie A match against the defending champions in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews.

Carboni has been on loan at Monza this season.

Inter sent the Argentine international on a year-long loan to their fellow Lombard team in order to get more playing time for him.

In that respect, the campaign has been a successful one for Carboni.

The teenage attacking midfielder has made a place for himself in the Monza starting eleven.

Carboni wasn’t necessarily a big part of the lineup earlier on in the season.

However, as the months have gone by, the Inter-owned player has gotten more and more opportunities. And he has taken full advantage of them.

Carboni has become an important player for the Brianzoli under Palladino.

Carboni is only at Monza on a dry loan. That means that there is no purchase option for the Brianzoli to sign him on a permanent basis at the end of the loan spell.

That is a clear sign of Inter’s intentions for the 19-year-old.

Carboni may not have a place in the Nerazzurri’s first-team plans this season. And that would be a problem for a player who is currently at a stage where playing time is absolutely vital.

But the Argentine is definitely a player who Inter want to keep hold of.

That is because the Nerazzurri see Carboni as being a part of the project in the future.

In that respect, it is always positive for Inter to see the 19-year-old getting playing time. Particularly in the bigger matches against Serie A’s top sides.

And in that respect, this evening’s match could certainly be a big match for Carboni.

Monza coach Palladino said that “Valentin Carboni is doing well. He did very well in training during the week.”

“He’s ready to take to the pitch against Napoli,” added the Brianzoli coach.
