It was Sky Sports Monday Night football last night and the team there have given their top five predictions for Champions League qualification.
The news comes after Chelsea played out a boring 0-0 draw against Brentford in the Premier League yesterday afternoon in what was another underwhelming performance.
Enzo Maresca frustrated Chelsea fans once again with a heavily rotated starting lineup in such an important game in the race for Champions League qualification, and then he annoyed them even more with some of the excuses he came out with after the game, even blaming the weather!
The Blues boss was also frustrated though, pointing out the fact that his attackers are currently not doing enough and has called for more goals from them all.
Maresca and his players must keep going now and onto the next game later this week in the Conference League as they look to try and win some silverware this season.
Newcastle beat Leicester City 3-0 in the Premier League meaning they are now level on points with Chelsea who keep fourth place on goal difference, but things are now getting tight and Chelsea have some tough fixtures coming up.
Jamie Carragher and Craig Bellamy were on duty for Sky Sports covering the Newcastle win for the Monday Night Football show, and they were asked to predict their top five for the end of the season, and neither of them have included Chelsea.
Craig Bellamy went with Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Manchester City, and Aston Villa.
Whilst Jamie Carragher went with Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Manchester City, and Nottingham Forest, with Chelsea will missing out.
He cited his reason for Chelsea missing out due to the fact that they’ve got the toughest fixtures.
