Sevilla have officially announced the return of sporting director Monchi.

Monchi spent 29 years with the club as a player and boardroom official, before leaving in 2017 to join Serie A side Roma.

However, after terminating his deal with Roma in March, the 50-year-old has agreed to re-join Los Hispalenses and will begin work on April 1.

This will come as a huge blow to Arsenal who were expecting Monchi to join in July, joining former Sevilla manager Unai Emery in North London.
