Sevilla sporting director Monchi has confirmed that Julen Lopetegui will continue as Sevilla manager, according to Deportes COPE Sevilla.
“There is no other way than with Lopetegui… He gives us a lot and we value him. He has a valid contract,” Monchi told Cope on Monday.

Sevilla’s 1-1 draw with Atlético Madrid secured them Champions League football for a third successive season under Lopetegui, following which Monchi praised the Basque manager to Movistar: “Three years in a row taking us to the Champions League, what more do we want? He is a magnificent manager.”
Monchi also warded off rumours of a change at the helm, claiming that any news of Diego Martínez potentially taking charge of Sevilla had been fabricated.
