Monaco reject Manchester United and Inter Milan loan approaches for Youssouf Fofana | OneFootball

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that AS Monaco have turned down two loan approaches for France international midfielder Youssouf Fofana (24).

Fofana had been expected to leave Monaco, but a move has not yet taken form. Premier League side Nottingham Forest have shown interest in the former RC Strasbourg Alsace midfielder, however, it is unclear whether the player himself would be interested in such a move. RMC Sport reported earlier this month that Fofana had rejected the Premier League side.

With just a day until the end of the window, Inter Milan and Manchester United have made approaches for Fofana. However, the two clubs were only interested in taking the Frenchman on loan with an option to make the move permanent. Les Monégasques are only interested in selling the player and have therefore rejected the approaches.

Fofana, who joined Monaco back in 2018, now looks set to remain with Monaco beyond the end of the current transfer window.
