AS Monaco are prepared to lose Vanderson (24) this summer. Olympique Lyonnais’ Saël Kumbedi (20) is seen as a replacement, according to a report from L’Équipe.
Vanderson joined Monaco in January 2022 and so after three-and-a-half years at the Principality club, the time may have come for him to move on. The Brazil international has attracted interest from the Premier League, as well as from Barcelona. Monaco will be happy to sanction a departure, should a reasonable offer arrive.
However, his prospective departure would leave a gap to fill at right-back. Wilfried Singo has often played in the position but may also depart, whilst Krépin Diatta, a squad player, has also filled in in that area of the pitch.
A recruit is sought after and Lyon’s Kumbedi is seen as an option. The 20-year-old, whose contract with OL runs until 2027, played 14 matches in Ligue 1 last season, as well as four in the UEFA Europa League.
