Speaking to RMC Sport, Mohammed Kudus’ (23) agent, Jennifer Mendelewitsch, has revealed that she offered to her client to Paris Saint-Germain, before the Ghanaian international ultimately joined West Ham United.

Kudus is now a West Ham player, having completed a €45m move from Ajax at the end of the summer transfer window, however, as Mendelewitsch revealed to Génération After, things could have been much different. Kudus’ agent reveals how she was harassed with tweets all summer asking why her client hadn’t been offered to PSG, who had already lost Neymar and Lionel Messi. However, it has now transpired that Kudus was indeed offered to Les Parisiens. “Of course, we offered him to PSG, but now it’s the club’s choice whether or not to move forward with it. All clubs have the right to decide that they want a different profile or if they aren’t a priority,” said Mendelewitsch.

Chelsea’s ‘ridiculous’ Kudus offer

Kudus’ agent also revealed that the Ghanaian international, who has been largely limited to appearances from the bench since joining the Hammers, also had an agreement in Chelsea. Had the Blues not offered so little to Ajax, the move could have come off.

We had an agreement with Chelsea on a contractual level, but the deal didn’t happen. He (Kudus) spoke with Mauricio Pochettino but in the end, it didn’t happen because Chelsea made a ridiculous offer to Ajax,” she said. Mendelewitsch confirmed that the bid was valued at between €20-25m. No counter-offer was then made, as Kudus made the move to the London Stadium.
