Liverpool welcomed their recent arch-nemesis Manchester City, in a breathtaking Premier League match. Both the teams put on a show, as the match ended in 2-2. The 28-year-old made one for his strike partner Sadio Mane followed by a beautiful solo goal to put his side in the lead. Born in 1992, in Egypt, Mohamed Salah’s first taste of football came in his hometown. At the age of 14, he joined the youth academy of Al Mokawloon. He was a regular in the Egyptian Premier League, and swiss club Basel took notice of him when the league got canceled. In 2012 Salah signed a 4 year-long deal with the Swiss club. That was the first step in Europe. He made his debut in the Uefa Champions League and it was really upwards from here. Following season Salah made an impressive impact and Chelsea signed him for a fee of around £11 million. This was a life-changing move for the Egyptian.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho was impressed by the Egyptian and landed him at the Stamford Bridge. But the charismatic Portuguese only saw him as a squad player. Despite spending the full season Salah only managed to get very few minutes. And that instigated his loan to Fiorentina. The loan move happened back in 2015 and that proved to be fruitful for him. However, the next loan to Roma was even more beneficial for him. Roma was so impressed by his 2015-16 loan, they made the move permanent in the following season for €15 million. The Egyptian scored 19 goals for them in all competitions.

On 22 June 2017, Salah agreed on a transfer to Liverpool. He signed a long-term contract with the Reds for an initial £36.5m fee that could rise to £43m. He became an instant fan favorite at Anfield as the goals came so easily to him. He broke all records of goalscoring since his arrival. And naturally, his net worth rose rapidly. According to Forbes, he is the 36th highest paid footballer at the moment with a net worth of around $37.5M. Mohamed Salah signed a 5 year / £52,000,000 contract with the Liverpool F.C., including an annual average salary of £10,400,000. Big brands like Adidas also contributes a huge amount to his net worth.
As of now, he is among the top players in the world. And there’s a lot of rumors of him signing another bumper contract for the reds. That will surely make him even richer.
