The Egyptian has three years left on his current deal, and has reaffirmed just how much he enjoys playing for the club.

“I’m very happy, I can’t describe my feelings after we won the league after 30 years,” he told BeIN Sports.

“I can see people’s joy and this is so important for all of us.

“I enjoy the atmosphere here … I love this place and I hope to stay for a long time.”

Salah opened the score in the Champions League final win over Tottenham last season, and has now added the Premier League to his list of honours at the club.

“We have adapted well as a team and our understanding is perfect. If this continues, we can achieve more.

“It’s difficult to maintain our current level, but it’s not impossible.”

The 28-year-old joined the club from Roma for £35m in 2017 and scored 44 goals in his first season alone.

He has also won the Premier League Golden Boot twice, sharing it with teammate Sadio Mané and Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last season.
