Mohamed Ihattaren nears Fortuna Sittard transfer | OneFootball

According to Voetbal International’s Geert-Jan Jakobs, Mohamed Ihattaren (23) will continue his career at Fortuna Sittard.

According to sources, an agreement has been reached within the Limburg club to take the attacking midfielder from RKC Waalwijk. Ihattaren is also reportedly in favour of the move.

Fortuna manager Danny Buijs is a big advocate for Ihattaren and has apparently convinced sceptics at the club. The Sittard club initially planned to enter the market only after Alen Halilovic’s departure, but no longer appear willing to wait for that.

Fortuna are confident the Croatian will leave this transfer window, while the club are also considering the sale of midfielder Makan Aïko.

Ihattaren, who trained at PSV, revived his career last season at RKC after years of personal and motivational issues overshadowed and hindered his performance. Under Buijs, with whom he has already had a mutually positive conversation, he believes he can take the next step in his development.

Those responsible at RKC and Fortuna are not yet responding to rumors of an impending agreement, which reportedly involves a transfer fee of several hundred thousand euros and a resale percentage.
