Modrić wins the Marca Leyenda award | OneFootball

Luka Modrić was awarded the Marca Leyenda (Marca Legend) accolade in recognition of his outstanding career, which has seen him become a key figure at Real Madrid during the club’s most successful periods. The Croat was presented with the award at a ceremony that took place at the Casino de Madrid.

Since he joined the club in 2012, Modrić has clinched 19 trophies. His spectacular silverware list as a madridista boasts 4 Champions Leagues, 4 Club World Cups, 3 UEFA Super Cups, 3 LaLiga titles, 1 Copa del Rey and 4 Spanish Super Cups. He also picked up the Ballon d'Or in 2018.

During the event, Modrić spoke proudly of his time as a Real Madrid player: I’m grateful for the affection the fans give me and they show it every day. I try to give everything every time I put on the shirt to return this affection. Real Madrid is my home and I feel incredibly happy.
