Liverpool star Mo Salah will aim to join a UEFA Champions League rival if he can’t agree on terms with the Reds. He’s out of contract next summer.

Things are really coming to head at Liverpool. The contracts of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold all expire at the end of June.

But that’s not really the deadline here. All three are able to agree to deals either non-English clubs from January 1st - under two months, in other words.

They can’t move in the New Year without Liverpool’s approval but they can sign pre-contracts. And it sounds as though Salah, at least, is weighing up potential options there.
