MN: ‘Two years are enough’ – why Milan are ready to part ways with Chukwueze

When Samuel Chukwueze arrived in the summer of 2023, there were hopes that he could be a big player for AC Milan, but this has not been the case.

In another world, Chukwueze is probably the long-term starting right winger for Milan, which was expected when he joined the club. However, he did not shine upon arrival, whereas Christian Pulisic did and continues to.

Unfortunately for him, on the occasional opportunity he got, he failed to succeed and looked like a really poor purchase.

So, Milan News writes that ‘two years are enough’ and a decision to part ways will surely be made this summer. Chukwueze himself hopes for a bigger role, whilst the Rossoneri are not happy with their purchase, seeing him as a ‘bitter disappointment’.

In La Liga, he was afforded more luxury of space, but in Serie A, he does not have these same abilities, looking very one dimensional, both in terms of his feet and ideas.

He arrived for €20 million + bonuses, whilst also taking a wage of €4m per season, a figure which has been too much for the player who is seen. So, the Diavolo will hope for at least €13m in the summer mercato, as this is the amount of the residual cost on the balance sheet.
