Theo Hernandez has been on a positive journey since he joined AC Milan back in the summer of 2019, and that journey is set to continue for years into the future.

MilanNews reports how his first objective was to become a starter with the Rossoneri, then to establish himself as one of the best in his position in the league, and it did not take long. In fact, Theo is now also one of the strongest left-backs in the world and that is how he has also conquered the objective of becoming a starter for the French national team, as head coach Didier Deschamps now considers him an ideal wing-back in the 3-5-2 he recently adopted.

In the next few weeks the player’s agent will arrive in Italy but the bulk of the work on extending his current contract – which expires in 2024 – has already been done because a verbal agreement has been found on the basis of €4m net per year in salary until 2026. Bonuses will be defined, but the bottom line is that a four-year renewal will soon be signing, to which an option for a fifth year will be added.

Theo has never really taken into consideration the possibility of leaving and wearing the captain’s armband in the absence of Alessio Romagnoli and Davide Calabria certainly helped him realise just how crucial he is. His head has always remained well focused on Milan despite interest from PSG.
