AC Milan will face AS Roma tomorrow night, and it seems that a few players could make a return for the Rossoneri, either from injury or other absence.
It has been a strange season for Milan, but tomorrow could be a chance to ‘restart’ the year. A game between two sides who have been deemed the ‘most disappointing’ in Serie A – even if Paulo Fonseca did not agree – and a chance to head towards redemption.
The Rossoneri, therefore, will name a near full-strength eleven, or at least full-strength for the tools available.
Mike Maignan will start in goal, as predicted by Milan News, and he should be shielded by a back four of Emerson Royal, Matteo Gabbia, Malick Thiaw and the returning Theo Hernandez. According to reports, the Frenchman had a meeting with Fonseca earlier today, and it went well, leading the Portuguese to decide on his return.
This means that Filippo Terracciano will continue in the centre of midfield, starting alongside Youssouf Fofana. In front of them, Tijjani Reijnders will look to be the difference as the Trequartista, like he was against Hellas Verona. It is worth noting that we could see the more conventional duo joined by Ismael Bennacer during the game too, with Fonseca not ruling out an appearance against the Giallorossi.
Samuele Chukwueze and Alex Jimenez should flank Alvaro Morata to lead the line.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Emerson Royal, Gabbia, Thiaw, Theo; Fofana, Terracciano; Chukwueze, Reijnders, Jimenez; Morata.
