Paulo Fonseca must get his AC Milan side back to winning ways against Monza this weekend, and he is looking to make several changes.
With a pivotal Champions League clash on the horizon, it is possible that Fonseca would look to prioritise that game, rather than this weekend’s clash. However, it does not seem like this will be the case.
Milan News reports that the Portuguese will name a nearly full-strength side, with several changes made to the defence. In fact, only Maignan will definitely keep his place. Davide Calabria is currently preferred to Emerson Royal, whereas Fikayo Tomori is due to displace Strahinja Pavlovic to partner Malick Thiaw. Theo Hernandez will return after serving his suspension.
In midfield, Tijjani Reijnders re-enters the midfield alongside Youssouf Fofana. Then, there should be changes on the wings. Samuel Chukwueze will once again be given a starting role from the right-hand side, and Rafael Leao should return to the starting eleven. Christian Pulisic will then be played through the middle behind Alvaro Morata.
Whilst Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic are both hopeful of a place within the squad, it seems neither will be given a starting spot, with Chukwueze preferred to the two-striker system.
