MN: Milan prepared to try again for Asensio as Real Madrid set their asking price | OneFootball

Yet another report has emerged claiming that AC Milan are interested in exploring a deal for Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio.

MilanNews begin their update by recalling how SportMediaset carried some quotes yesterday from the entourage of Asensio: “Milan’s interest is a pride, a future in Milan is an option, there are also offers of a couple of English clubs including Arsenal, we are ready to evaluate every possibility.”

Last summer Milan enquired about Asensio’s situation and even reached a verbal agreement with Real Madrid, but the deal vanished due to the player’s desire to stay and fight for a spot, something he has done successfully given he has 34 appearances and 10 goals this season across all competitions.

The Rossoneri management admire the 26-year-old and believe him to be a particularly interesting profile given his technical qualities and that he can play either as a playmaker or on the right wing.

It will be complicated though because the player’s contract expires in 2023 and his price tag is around €25m, but the situation needs to be monitored.
