Before this season began, many expected Francesco Camarda to feature heavily for the AC Milan Futuro side, with the occasional senior call-up. However, this has not been the case.
The future of Milan is Camarda, and this is felt by those inside and outside the club, those with a Rossoneri affinity and those without. It goes further than this as well. Camarda is the future of Italian football, and at 16 years old, there are few players more ‘hyped’ than him.
Paulo Fonseca has often stood by the motto of ‘if a player is good enough, they are old enough’ and this is why he has often looked to Camarda, and why he has regularly trained with the first team.
So much so that his minutes for the Futuro have been heavily limited, albeit there have been discussions that the starlet is more suited to the senior game than Serie C.
As Milan News reports, it has been more than a month since his last appearance for the Futuro side, and after being given the nod to start from the off, it is hoped he will have an impact.
Regardless of whether he does or doesn’t though, the ‘baby talent’ will return to Fonseca after, available for Wednesday’s Champions League clash.
