AC Milan and Inter will meet the Municipal Administration of Milan to present two hypotheses for the re-purposing of the current San Siro, a report claims.

The two clubs want to construct new state-of-the-art home as was revealed late last year, with Italian firm Manica and American giants Populous the two competing firms trying to land the project.

Despite gathering initial momentum, things seemed to grind to a halt when it was reported by ANSA that the two clubs asked for clarifications on the construction of a new stadium, one of the points being about what can or cannot be done with the existing San Siro, which at present appears to be an obstacle.

According to a report on MilanNews.it though, Tuesday could be a crucial day in the scheme of the whole project. Two hypotheses regarding the repurposing of the current Meazza will be suggested, both in compliance with the agreement reached with Municipal Administration in the previous meeting.

Both will operate on the basis of the current San Siro being remodelled basic sports functions and entertainment functions to make the San Siro district live 365 days a year, of service and benefit for citizenship.

The clubs will continue in the technical and economic study of the project hypotheses presented.
