The AC Milan squad were back in training at Milanello today and some good news has arrived regarding Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
According to what is being reported by MilanNews, for the first time in over a couple of few months Loftus-Cheek has returned to training with the rest of the squad. That means that he could even be part of the squad for the game against Como on Saturday, albeit likely on the bench.
The Englishman has been out since the Supercoppa Italiana final against Inter out in Saudi Arabia. He had just made his return in that game, but had to go off due to a relapse of the discomfort in his right thigh flexor muscle.
Nonetheless, Loftus-Cheek seems to finally be seeing the light at the end of a seemingly endless tunnel. This recovery could certainly be useful to Sergio Conceiçao in view of the end of the season where everyone’s contribution will be needed to try to at least reach the Europa League places.
A report from Corriere dello Sport this morning spoke about the Rossoneri’s struggles defensively under Conceicao and about how one fix might be to add more physicality to the double pivot, something the former Chelsea man can certainly bring.
