Daniel Maldini’s time at AC Milan might just be coming to an end as the club are negotiating a permanent sale, according to a report.

According to the latest from MilanNews, Maldini Jr. is not part of the plans of the new Milan under Paulo Fonseca , which is why the management have immediately moved to find him accommodation together with his agent.

Over the past few weeks there has been talk about Roma and potential interest on their part in bringing the playmaker to the capital, but it is Monza that have made the most concrete moves and are now looking to tie up the operation.

Negotiations between Milan and the Brianzini for the return of Maldini are proceeding quickly. Unlike six months ago, however, this time the Italian will move to Monza on a permanent basis, with the two clubs reportedly working on this formula.

At the moment the crux of the matter mainly concerns the percentage of the future resale in favour of Milan, an aspect that could however be resolved soon and would free the 23-year-old to travel the short hop to Monza for a medical.

The Diavolo want to protect themselves with a resale clause in the event that he explodes with Empoli, having scored four goals in the second half of last season.
