Philadelphia Union proving to be MLS Cup contenders, take down Red Bulls 2-0.

After a scoreless first half, Philadelphia took the lead just a couple minutes into the second as Jack McGlynn weaved his way through the Red Bulls defense before providing Mikael Uhre with a sensational ball. Uhre would hit it first-time and kiss the ball off the inside of the post to make it 1-0 to the visitors.

Dániel Gazdag extended the Union lead in the 74th minute with his 18th goal of the season, a new Union record, after the Red Bulls lost possession in the defensive third following a beautiful press by Julián Carranza.

Carranza was rewarded for his efforts by supplying a sublime assist for Gazdag, who finished off the team play with a scintillating finish.

The Red Bulls would finish with 10 men after Dru Yearwood lashed a ball into the crowd in frustration, which hurt a fan in the process.
