Real Salt Lake are closing in on the signing of attacking midfielder Diogo Goncalves from Danish giants FC Copenhagen for roughly $3m (Farzam Abolhosseini).
Argentinian giants Boca Juniors are reportedly in talks to bring FC Dallas' Alan Velasco back to the Liga Profesional (Martin Arevalo).
GiveMeSport's MLS and USMNT insider Tom Bogert has reported that goalkeeper Matt Turner is likely to leave Premier League side Nottingham Forest this summer with teams from Spain and Germany interested.
The last year-or-so at the club level hasn't been too kind for the 30-year-old stop-stopper although he's kept his place in the USMNT, though that could change with whoever the USSF brings in as the new head coach to replace Gregg Berhalter. Turner has made 21 appearances for Forest after joining in August 2023 from Arsenal, where he managed just seven appearances as back-up upon his arrival from MLS outfit New England Revolution in July 2022.
Bogert also reveals that Turner would prefer a move to the Bundesliga over La Liga, and that makes sense as several Americans have found success in the German first division such as Weston McKennie, Joe Scally, Christian Pulisic, Gio Reyna and current LAFC boss Steve Cherundolo.
Some teams to watch out for in Germany that may be in the market for Turner could be relegation candidates like Mainz, VfL Bochum and Union Berlin as well as newly promoted sides St. Pauli and Holstein Kiel.
