Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Adam Beaudry is linking up with Arsenal for training this week, according to a report.

Tom Bogert, who covers the MLS for The Athletic, reports that Colorado Rapids goalkeeper and United States youth international Adam Beaudry is heading to Arsenal for a training stint.

Bogert writes that Beaudry is highly rated and on the radar of various clubs abroad.

The Rapids have decided to let him go to Arsenal for training this week, meaning he’ll miss their MLS game against FC Cincinnati on Saturday.

With Kroenke Sports & Entertainment owning both clubs, this will be one of a few instances of Arsenal helping to give a Colorado Rapids player some experience.

Beaudry has just turned 18, and he’s yet to make his debut for the Rapids. He primarily features for the Rapids’ second team in the MLS Next Pro league at the moment.

But the goalkeeper has also been on the bench in the MLS for all of the Rapids’ nine games this season, and he likely would have made that 10 if not for the trip to London.

On top of that, he’s also represented the United States u17s on eight occasions, including at the u17 CONCACAF Championship and the u17 World Cup.

For the time being, there’s no suggestion that the spell is anything more than a training stint, though Arsenal could be in need of an academy goalkeeper who can also help with the first team this summer.

With Arthur Okonkwo’s contract running down and Karl Hein likely to push for a loan after failing to see any first-team action this season, the Gunners might want a new third-choice keeper.

If Beaudry can impress in training this week, he may find himself on their summer shortlist.
