Bayern Munich assistant coach and club hero Miroslav Klose has admitted that he will leave the club this summer.
He returned to the club in 2018 as an underage coach before accepting a one-year contract last summer to be part of Hansi Flick’s staff.
And in an interview with kicker, Klose revealed that he now expects to follow Flick out of the exit door at the end of the season.
“What happens to me and where I’ll be next season is still entirely up to me,” the 42-year-old said when quizzed about his future.
“I have a very clear plan and I think Oliver Kahn knows that well and he also knows that I won’t be here next season.
“There haven’t yet been final talks about my future but there are several exciting options and I’m sure a decision will be made soon about what I will do.
“But like I said, I’ll decide that and nobody else!”
Earlier last week, Klose completed his final exams which mean that he can now work as a first team coach in the Bundesliga.
