Departing Plymouth Argyle star Tymoteusz Puchacz could become an option for German outfit Schalke, who are currently managed by former Pilgrims boss Miron Muslic.
Argyle will be playing in League One in the upcoming season, after they failed to keep their heads above water.
Muslic was appointed in January to keep Plymouth up, but he could not keep them safe despite his best efforts.
2. Bundesliga side Schalke lured away the 42-year-old Austrian after the campaign ended, much to Plymouth’s frustration.
The Pilgrims have announced some players who will leave the club at the end of the campaign and Puchacz is one of them.
He joined them on loan from German club Holstein Kiel, but his loan deal will run out at the end of the month and he will return to Germany.
According to German magazine Kicker, the Polish left-back could become an option for Schalke, where he could reunite with Muslic.
It has been suggested that his chances of staying at Holstein Kiel are rather low and Polish outfit Jagiellonia Bialystok are also an option for him.
He became an important player under Muslic, amassing more than 1,100 minutes in the Championship in the second half of the season.
Muslic is already showing interest in Nikola Katic, who is leaving the Pilgrims, and Puchacz could become another player heading to Schalke.
All eyes will be on Muslic now to see if he will ask Schalke to have a look at the 26-year-old Poland international in the coming weeks and months.
